The velvet absorbs stray light so the only thing that glitters is the stone. It is the most jewel-saturated studio in the set, and the closest the app gets to an auction-catalog look.

It is built for diamond-heavy, statement, and high-jewelry pieces. A solitaire reads as a centerpiece here; a tennis bracelet reads as weight; a statement cocktail ring gets the theatrical light it was designed for. The trade-off is that delicate everyday pieces can get lost against the drama. A thin chain or a small stud has more presence in a brighter, simpler studio like Patina or Vellum.
