This policy explains what data Bling AI (“we”, “our”) collects when you use the Bling AI mobile app or this website at blingai.app, how we use it, and the choices you have about it. Plain language, no fine print.
Who we are
Bling AI is a product of Power Leaders LLC, 4th St, Sonoma, California, the data controller for the information described in this policy. For any privacy matter, reach us at support@blingai.app.
What we collect
Account information
When you sign in with email or Apple ID, we store your email address and a unique account identifier. You can use Bling AI without an account in guest mode — in which case we don't collect any identifying information.
Photos you upload
When you upload an iPhone photo of jewelry to generate marketing images, that source photo is stored securely on our servers for the duration of your session and any active generation requests. You can delete your photos at any time from inside the app, or by emailing us.
Generated images and videos
Images and videos that Bling AI generates from your source photos are stored in your account so you can re-download them. You can delete them at any time.
Usage analytics
We collect aggregate usage data to understand how the app and website are used:
- On the app: install attribution, app opens, and feature usage (via Singular)
- On the website: page views and traffic sources (via Google Analytics 4)
- In the web app and on the website: page views, clicks, the steps you take (like uploading a photo or making an image), errors, and recordings of web app sessions with anything you type hidden (via PostHog)
- On the website, if you allow ad cookies: the pages you visit and whether you sign up, start a checkout or buy, to measure our ads on Facebook and Instagram (via the Meta Pixel)
Web app analytics are linked to your account (your account ID and email) so we can fix problems you run into and see where the app gets in your way. We don't link other usage analytics to identifiable account data when we analyze it.
Subscription information
If you purchase a subscription, payment is handled by Apple through the App Store. We receive confirmation that you're a subscriber (via RevenueCat) — but we never see your payment details.
App Tracking Transparency
The iOS app shows you an Apple ATT prompt on first launch. You can decline tracking. Our attribution partner (Singular) respects that choice.
How we use your data
We use your data to:
- Generate the images and videos you ask for
- Maintain your account and subscription
- Understand how the app and website are used so we can improve them
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your photos to train any AI model. Your uploads are used only to fulfill your generation request and are not retained for training purposes.
Legal bases for processing (EU / UK)
If you're in the European Economic Area or the UK, we rely on these legal bases under the GDPR to process your data:
- Contract — to provide what you signed up for: generating your images and videos, maintaining your account, and managing your subscription.
- Consent — for optional analytics and tracking (including cookies and iOS app tracking), which you can decline or withdraw at any time.
- Legitimate interests — to keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and understand aggregate usage so we can improve Bling AI, balanced against your rights.
- Legal obligation — where we must process data to comply with the law.
Marketing communications
If you opt in, we may send occasional emails about new features and tips. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out anytime by clicking it or emailing us. Service messages (like account and subscription notices) aren't marketing and may still be sent.
Who we share data with
We share limited data with the following processors that help us run Bling AI:
- Supabase — authentication and secure storage of your photos
- RevenueCat — subscription management
- Singular — install attribution and iOS analytics
- Google (Gemini) — AI image and video generation
- Google Analytics 4 — website analytics
- PostHog — website and web app analytics and session recordings
- Meta— measuring our ads on Facebook and Instagram (Meta Pixel and Conversions API). When you buy, we tell Meta about the purchase and its amount, with your email in scrambled (hashed) form, your IP address and your browser type, so Meta can match it to an ad you saw. Only if you've allowed ad cookies. We may also give Meta account email addresses in scrambled (hashed) form, so our ads skip people who already use Bling AI and reach people like them. Meta deletes the ones it can't match. To be left out, email us at support@blingai.app.
Each processor handles your data under their own privacy policy and our data processing agreement with them. We don't sell your data.
Cookies & similar technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies:
- Essential — required for the site to function (security and basic preferences). Always on.
- Analytics — Google Analytics 4 and PostHog set cookies to measure page views, traffic sources and how the site is used. These are optional.
- Advertising— the Meta Pixel sets cookies to measure our ads on Facebook and Instagram. In the EU, the UK and Switzerland it only runs if you accept the cookie banner; elsewhere it's on unless you turn it off here.
You can refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings; turning off analytics cookies won't stop the site from working. The mobile app doesn't use web cookies — on iOS, tracking is governed by the Apple ATT prompt described above.
How we protect your data
We protect your data with encryption in transit (HTTPS / TLS), access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, but we work to safeguard your information and limit who can access it.
Data retention
We retain your data while your account is active. When you delete your account or request deletion, we permanently remove your source photos, generated images, and account information within 30 days.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or object to the processing of your data. You can:
- Delete your account from inside the app at any time
- Email us at support@blingai.app for any other request
We respond within 30 days.
If you're in the EEA or UK and believe we've mishandled your data, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Your California privacy rights
If you're a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion or correction, and to opt out of its “sale” or “sharing.” We do not sell your personal information. We do use the Meta Pixel to measure our ads (see Cookies above), which California law may count as “sharing”; you can turn it off with the ad cookie setting above. Over the past 12 months we've collected the categories described above — identifiers, the photos you upload and the content we generate, subscription status, and usage data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@blingai.app; we won't discriminate against you for it.
Children's privacy
Bling AI is not intended for users under the age of 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we'll delete it.
International transfers
Bling AI is operated from the United States. If you're located outside the US (including the EU and UK), your data may be transferred to and processed in the US under appropriate safeguards.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we'll change the “last updated” date at the top. Material changes will also be communicated in the app.
