measuring
how to measure your wrist.
wrap a soft tape measure around your wrist just above the wrist bone, where a bracelet actually sits. keep it flat against the skin without pulling it tight.
no tape? use a strip of paper or a piece of string, mark where it overlaps and measure it flat against a ruler.
then pick a fit. thicker chains and bracelets with large links take up more room inside the circle, so size up by about a quarter inch for chunky styles.
- snug, add 0.5 in (1.3 cm): sits close and moves little. good for thin chains and stacking.
- comfort, add 0.75 in (1.9 cm): the everyday fit most people choose. slides a little without sliding over the hand.
- loose, add 1 in (2.5 cm): drapes and moves. suits charm bracelets, where the charms need room to hang.
