every guide on this site uses the same editorial shell — a narrow centered reading column with comfortable type, broken occasionally by full-bleed imagery, galleries, pullquotes, and the other primitives below.
this article exists as a reference for what the format can do.
the shell
the body sits in a 680-pixel column at 18px / 1.65. paragraphs flow with a relaxed rhythm, and headings are restrained — never bold, always lowercase.
links inherit the body color and pick up a subtle underline on hover. lists, horizontal rules, and inline emphasis behave as you would expect from a magazine.
the format is the brand. the shell is the contract. write into it and the page already looks right.
primitives
each primitive is a React component imported by name in MDX. the rules are simple — restrained, warm, no chrome.
steps
steps are for ordered procedures — a setup, a workflow, a checklist. numbered, large, deliberate.
- 01
upload a piece.
an iphone photo of any item in your inventory.
- 02
pick a scene.
warm linen, golden hour, oxblood silk — choose the mood.
- 03
post it everywhere.
campaign-ready stills and reels in under sixty seconds.
imagery
three image primitives: full-bleed, gallery, and inline caption.
galleries break out of the column too, but split the rail into 2 or 3 images.
that's the format.
